Honorable President,
I have never written such a letter to the President before, but felt that if anyone were to read my letter, you would. I hope that you won’t take out of context because I feel bad that I am even writing to you.
Me and my classmate is currently studying in Madan Bhandari Memorial College affiliated to Tribhuwan University. However, since turning to University level, I personally take the system of government as the major issue than my aim. Whenever students like me have to think about own future, we are urged to live under a lot of anxieties and frustrations.
One of my friends whispered me that he has joined University level study just because he had no better option to develop himself rather joining University. Also, I believed study is important, but it’s so expensive in case of our country Nepal unless it must be free. Aim building is far away. And what about skill development dues.
After a long day study and research, I have come up with some ideas to look and implement for a success path. If possible following steps can be implemented by our current government:
Step-1(From birth to childhood):
Free for health, education, shelter, food, play, etc.
Step 2(Turning to adolescent):
Must be free to study and choose their aim.
Step-3(Adulthood):
Free to get job according to capabilities.
Step-4(Middle age):
The age of success and display.
Step-5(Senior age):
The age of free to live.
If there is free to children for any positive change, happiness takes over and over along with the decrement in the infant mortality rate. If there is provision of free to study and free to set a goal with interest, then there is no risk of losing innocent souls. Here, adulthood is more important in which citizen most serve at least 10 years for country as their capability and goal. The age of experience. However middle age is to display the own value. If one wants rich than let them go forward with passion and hard work. If someone want to live simple earning than let them with simple job. The senior age must be of free to live without any social biasness.
All of these steps seem to be simple and normal. But what we don’t have is implementation. And in comparison, to other developed countries, the lifestyle of our country seems unplanned and mismanaged. Being a citizen, I felt that my country is facing a big problem on misuse of power, corruption, fame-ness, criminal, abuse, trafficking and so on. Also, I know I have responsibilities to make aware that people are choosing the wrong path because they are unsure about good result after hard work.
As turning to adolescent, I have a dream but nothing to implied. I have a wish that Aim and interest will meet one day. So that I could give 101% dedication and service on interested job. A humble request is to please, let the children and senior people live freely and let active ones to work according to their interest and capabilities. Active citizens are the pillar of the nation. And our nation has a long way to go to be one of the most prominent nation in the world.
Best Regards, Khem Bahadur Thapa Magar
